CleverNote

Connect your bank and let transactions track themselves

Stop typing every expense. Connect your US or Canada bank account once and CleverNote pulls your transactions in automatically, read-only through Plaid, organized next to the receipts and notes you already capture. Then ask in plain English: where did my money go last month? And the answer comes with the source.

Real example

Where did my money go last month?

CA$4,180 total: biggest slices groceries (CA$980) and bills (CA$760), pulled straight from your bank.

Source: bank transactions

How it works

  1. Open Finances and connect your bank through Plaid, the same secure service banks and finance apps use. CleverNote never sees your password.
  2. Your transactions land in Finances on their own, each marked with its bank of origin, alongside expenses you snap from receipts or type.
  3. Spending rolls up into a dashboard by category and month, in your timezone.
  4. Ask in chat: how much did I spend on groceries in May? The answer cites the transactions.

Why CleverNote for this

If you want spending tracked without typing, and answers about your money that cite the source, connecting your bank to CleverNote turns your account into searchable, private memory.

FAQ

Does CleverNote see my bank password?
No. The connection runs through Plaid, which handles the bank login. CleverNote only receives the transactions, never your password.
Can CleverNote move my money?
No. The connection is read-only. CleverNote reads transactions to organize your Finances and never moves, transfers or pays anything.
Which banks work, and what does it cost?
Banks in the United States and Canada for now, with Brazil coming next. Bank connection is part of the Pro plan, US$7.99/month; there is also a free plan and a US$4.99 Plus plan without bank connection.
