Questions people ask first

Does it turn my receipt into a PDF?

CleverNote keeps the uploaded photo or PDF with your saved record, where you can open or download it. It is not a scanning tool that produces a cleaned-up, multi-page PDF file, so if a polished file is all you need, a dedicated scanner app will serve you better. CleverNote is for when you need the information back later.

Do I need to organize folders or tags?

No. Scan it and keep going. CleverNote reads the document and files it by amount, date, person, and category on its own.

What if it reads a number wrong?

Tell it in one sentence, like “that total was $42.60”. Your correction updates the interpreted value without rewriting the original document.

Is this accounting or tax software?

No. CleverNote helps you find the receipt, the amount, and the person behind a purchase. It does not file taxes or replace an accountant.

Do I have to connect my bank?

No. Everything on this page works from photos and files alone. Bank connection is optional, read-only, US and Canada only, and available on Pro.
