Logging expenses one by one gets old, and your investments live in another app. Now you connect your bank account once: transactions show up on their own in Finances, and your net worth shows up alongside.
How it works
You link your account through Plaid, the same service banks and finance apps use to connect accounts securely. CleverNote never sees your password: Plaid is the one talking to your bank. The connection is read-only, and you disconnect whenever you want.
Transactions show up on their own
Each entry lands in Finances already organized, marked with its bank of origin, next to the ones you type or pull from receipts. And if you already logged an expense by hand, CleverNote won’t duplicate it: when it’s the same transaction it merges, when it only looks similar it suggests and you decide.
And your net worth too
If the account holds investments, they show up in Investments: each account’s balance (like an RESP or TFSA) and its holdings, every time it syncs. All in one place, next to your financial memory, and you can ask about it in chat whenever you want.
Read-only, in your control
The connection is read-only: CleverNote reads to organize, and never moves money. You disconnect whenever you want, and disconnecting takes that bank’s data with it.
For now, US and Canada
The connection covers banks in the United States and Canada right now. Banks in Brazil are coming next, we are already working on it.
Connecting a bank is part of the full plan.
